Fund Us

            I believe that our schools should receive more funding. We need things such as better and more interesting classes, furnishing and most importantly, AC’s. Funding should not only go for material uses, but for our school food. I believe that an improvement to these key subject matters will make for a more comfortable and interesting school experience.

            Now I know every school has it's flaw, either if it’s with lack of up to date textbooks or even bad school lunches. I believe and certainly everyone else believes that this would be a great idea, there are really no consequences in doing so. So first off, the lack of textbooks, it's an issue in some states but not in the sense where they don’t have any but in the sense that it’s inaccurate, politicized and biased. Texas is a prime example of this issue. There’s even lack of true Native American history in these textbooks. We should get funding to perhaps rewrite history in its entirety. Secondly I believe we should have more interesting classes to engage students to actually like school and be happy and excited to come to school every day. Classes that I have in mind are that such as cooking classes which wouldn’t really make a real difference for us students today because we are soon to graduate. I want this for future generations to change their perspectives on school. Thirdly, I would love to see a change in furnishing, let’s be completely honest, the furniture in most schools are worn out to complete dust and funding our schools with money to help us get new and more efficient furniture is a splendid idea! It’s a no brainer; we need more efficient and better furniture. Fourthly the school needs better nutritious food, food that actually looks appetizing. I do know that there have been changes to school lunches that I do approve of, for example in my school, Will C. Crawford High School, we had a new meal added, Halal chicken and it’s a step forward in my vision. And lastly one that we all need or even more… AC’s! Air conditioning units is a must in all schools across America, it is essential to all students that they are in a comfortable and well environment. Let’s be honest and everybody have experienced being in a classroom, either if it’s cold or hot, most will not handle it and not concentrate as much as they would if there were air conditioners.

            These are the 5 things we need that are a must for schools across the country. We need these for a better and just overall awesome school experience. Not only for us but for future generations that may find school boring if none of these problems are fixed. Fund us.
